Strategies From Heaven to Access the New Heights God Has for You Today

The Lord is taking you to entirely new heights! The word of wisdom He is highlighting to me is the need to recognize the old pitfalls that have kept you from fully accessing these new heights in Christ while also recognizing the distractions that have contributed the same fruitless results. There are old limitations that have kept you from receiving what Christ has already paid for you to access.

Oftentimes, we are told of the wonderful truths and promises God has for us, but we rarely understand how to possess these places. Scripture is clear: there is a response on our part. We must take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of us, and walk in obedience to what He reveals. (Philippians 3:12; James 1:22)

Many of you are trying to access new places in God, but old patterns attempt to meet you at the gates of these heightened places and promises. God is equipping you to overcome so that your advancement can flourish. He makes your feet like the feet of a deer and enables you to go on the heights. (Habakkuk 3:19)

The truth has set you free! Now do all you can to stand firm in that freedom. (John 8:32; Galatians 5:1)

Pay attention to the dreams God is using to speak to you, because they can hold valuable keys and insight. God can speak in dreams to turn us away from destructive paths and preserve us from pride and harm. (Job 33:14–18) Also, revisiting past mistakes and outcomes will help you clearly navigate future success. We are instructed to consider our ways. (Haggai 1:5, 7)

You will know a familiar pattern by its outcome—by its fruit. (Matthew 7:16–20) What did those cycles produce in your life? What did those familiar voices and temptations bring about?

The temptation itself is rarely the whole problem. It is the familiar scenario, left unrecognized for what it is when it re-emerges, that has ensnared you again and again. But God does not leave you without a way of escape, and we are not ignorant of the enemy’s schemes. (1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Corinthians 2:11)

Learning to recognize these familiar situations when they cycle back around is a key to lasting victory and fruit that remains. (John 15:16)

Declare this over yourself:

“Not this time around! I see this situation clearly for what it is, and I will not blindly walk into a trap sent to derail me for another trip around the mountain. I’m going higher with God by overcoming the very things meant to keep me trapped in endless cycles of defeat.

God has fully equipped me to see and know when I am being pulled into another trap, and today is my day of victory! He has given me everything I need for life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3)

I will remain free because Christ has set me free, and I will vigilantly pursue that freedom because it produces the abundant life Jesus promised me. (Galatians 5:1; John 10:10)

God has shown me my worth by giving His only Son for me. (John 3:16) I will walk above the defeat this world has to offer. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me. (Romans 8:37)

I am victorious in Jesus Christ because He gives me the victory and has equipped me with everything I need to overcome!” (1 Corinthians 15:57)
